Happy Holidays and Happy New Year

I just made a really long post using Picasa to blogger and it is lost urghhh - so mad. Okay I will try to remember everything I put in the lost one!

Here are some pictures from our Holidays. It was really nice to experience Christmas thru the eyes of a curious toddler. We all had a nice Holiday. I think out of everything Holiday related, Lil D loved the Christmas Lights, whether outside or on the tree. He loved it and kept saying More More More. He liked opening gifts but after a while he liked ripped the paper more than anything.

Our days were really busy leading up to the Holiday and the weekend before and the day of Christmas. I wasn't feeling too well so I went to the doctors. I did have and ear infection but I think all the other crazy symptoms I had was anxiety. So next year I am going to keep that in the back of my mind when December rolls around. Big d and I also decided we are going to stay home next year for the day of Christmas - all day - and eat a hot meal here. It is just too much dragging D out and he missed his naps too many days.

In my usual BahHumbug tradition, all of my Christmas decorations including the tree are all taken down and packed away for another year. Once it is December 26th I am ready to get everything put away. The only things left out are a few gifts and a wreath on my door (decorated in light blue not red & green). I hope to get out my Valentines day decorations soon - one of my Favorite holidays along with Halloween!

I love this family picture of us (below). I actually began Scrapbooking Christmas 2006 already. I borrowed this idea from Ali Edwards and I had heard about it from Karen. I think it is the perfect idea. I used to keep ALL cards I got but just recently I purged a bunch of them and only kept the special ones and the picture cards. I made about 6 pages already and Hope that it is completed soon... Ya know like July!

These pictures are from Saturday December 30th (below) . My sweet little boy has been a sick little boy with his first childhood illness...Croup. It started out a high fever and runny nose and then suddenly went to the croup barking cough. The next morning we went to the doctors and besides the medicine they recommend cold air. Perfect then for playing in the snow. He had soooo much fun. He kept running and trying to pick it up. We had a great time! Luckily he is feeling so much better and last night and today he was back to his usual nap and nighttime schedule. He alot for lunch today so I think that is a good sign too. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. Big D and I BOTH have colds now so we are going to ring in the new year with a hot bowl of chicken noodle soup. Doesn't that sound exciting and festive!

A Year In Review - A Photographic Journey - Part 1

I figured since I deleted (by accident) my previous blog and the hopes of it ever returning are slim to none, I will do a A Year In Review Series to celebrate 2006!

I think I will call today theme: "The Trials and Tribulations of being a Toddler Boy" or maybe I should name it "Actions that May get You a Ticket into Time Out" or "The Joys of Boys", or maybe "If a child is being too quiet they may be up to something" or maybe just simply "Calgon Take me Away"

Let's Start with December 25th 2005....Our poor son didn't get any presents from Santa (wink wink) so he had to resort to climbing on the dog kennels:

Early January 2006, only had been walking a short time but walking with sippy cup in mouth is a great feat!: February - Climb on, behind, into anything and everything...It's Fun!:

March - The climbing continues, Lets try harder objects to climb on (the front of the computer desk):

April - Torment the dog by taking her dog bones and flashing them in front of her face. Good thing Chloe is patient:

May - Pretend you are a dog and play constantly in the dog kennel:

June - Let's Play office, type on the keyboard and use the mouse as a phone, My busy little officer worker:

June #2- I couldn't pass up this one. What is that saying "A picture is worth 1000 words" (I think he was aiming for the little spiderman bowl but he missed...a little):

July: A month full of trying to fit himself into small spaces:

August: Again poor D has no toys to play with, must dump out all of mommy's scrapbooking ribbons. He proceeded to play with the ribbon all day:

September: While mommy was in the girls room, D decided to put away all of the gingerale. Mommy's Little helper:

October: Incorporating Crayons into everyday play. All I have to say is thank goodness for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser:

November -I think on the previous blog this photograph was titled "When Markers Attack" Notice also the easter egg sticker on his forehead:

December: Living Room Extreme Sports. Very ingenious on his behalf.

Stay Tuned...more to Follow.

Caught! Red Handed (covered in chocolate)

This is what happens when the Advent Calendar is left in the reach of a curious Toddler. Only a scrapbooking mom would take a second to snap a picture before taking the candy away. Well, December 15, 18, 21 and 23rd are down the hatch!

My Beautiful Baby Boy

Ooops! and Other Happenings...

I deleted my old blog last night totally by mistake. I wasn't too happy but it's not the end of the world. Hopefully I can get some of it back, but in the meantime, I started this new one. It was crazy trying to find who to email or contact at blogger/google but hopefully someone will be able to help me.

My post last night was about my little David sitting on Santa's Lap for a picture. When he saw Santa while we were in line he yelled out "There He Is!" and then he ran up to him. He was a wiggle worm and was more interested in the candy santa had than having his picture taken. He didn't cry at all. I was so anxious that he would cry but he didn't. Too busy though for smiling for the camera but I think this picture came out good.

Santa Clause is Coming to Town

On Sunday, we took Lil D to see Santa. I was nervous if he was going to be scared or cry. Not my son. He took one look at Santa and yells "There He Is!" and then proceeded to run right up to him. He was a little wiggly sitting on his lap. I had to do a little bribery with m&ms. He wasn't going to smile though for the crazy lady with the rattle trying to take his picture- "No time for that mom! I got things to look at and places to go" He did great and then waved bye bye to Santa and blew him a kiss!

Our Son...The Comedian

I decided this morning I would try lil D's Christmas outfit on him that GG bought. It looks so darn cute! It fits perfectly so hopefully he won't have a growth spurt in the next three weeks. Since he was all dressed up, I decided to try to take a few pictures even though we haven't put up any decorations other than the tree (just the tree is up - no ornaments). Of course, lil D being the ham that he is, was cracking himself up during the "photo shot". I thought this pictures was so funny.
It reminds me of Sam The Snowman from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. What a hoot!!!

Basking in the Bliss of Toddlerland

Things have been busy. You know, the usual, playing, climbing, coloring (on everything), being silly and having lots of fun. Hard to believe that 2 is just around the corner. He has been practicing the word "NO" an awful lot lately. He said to his father on the phone yesterday "Hi Dada, Where You Go?" I love hearing all he says, sometimes I can't understand but more words everyday. Getting ready for Christmas too. We have been going out alot to look at Christmas lights. Lil D says "more more more lights". I think he is really going to enjoy our tree once we get it all decorated.

Here are some random pictures from this past week. I love this first one. I had been cleaning out files, papers and greeting cards. I came across an anniversary card that had two stickers in it one said "I am the Boss around here" and the other said "I am the Boss when she isn't around". Lil D loves stickers so I thought it was funny he put this one on his shirt. The next pictures are a series in the latest and greatest of the Toddler Obstacle course in my house. Very ingenius for him to figure this one out. The next pictures are so cute. "When Markers Attack". I was actually sitting right near him but he was so quiet...I should have known what he was up to. And I love the easter sticker he stuck to his head. And the last pictures are sweet of my Davids playing with the Spiderman and Hulk Lego playset. Thanks for Looking!

Monday...Back to the Routine

It is 1:38am monday morning...I guess I really need to get to bed. I have gone to bed soooo late in the last week. But I decided before I do I should do a blog post.

In about 6 hours, I will be back to the mommy uniform, back to the daily shows, back to d's naptime at a normal time, back to errands and phone calls, back to cooking dinner, back to the norm. It was a fun weekend.... busy busy...Well other than the stomach virus that has plagued our house on and off since last Monday Afternoon. Lots of stuff to do and lots of people to see. Not sure if I really got done all the things I wanted to. I really wanted to scrapbook but that never happened. Hubby and I got totally hooked on a bunch of computer games and spent alot of time together. Oh and finally we both went for our eye exams and new glasses.

This time of year I am so messed up on the dates. 4 weeks from today is christmas. 6 1/2 weeks is Davids 2nd birthday. I have to plan out christmas cards, christmas portrait and birthday invitations. All meanwhile waiting for my prometrium to kick in, waiting for AF and then onto round 4 of higher dose of clomid, TI and ultrasounds. I think December is going to be a busy month!!! Did I mention how excited I am that the prometrium is finally done with. That stuff is evil. Tonight not only am I extra moody but dizzy too! I had a lovely hot flash while at Walmart...very glamourous!!!

Here are some pictures of lil D from the past few days. He is such a little clown. Lots of new words including llama, notebook, black, tissue, and no more!!! He is very clear on Yes and No these days but he is listening so well. Ok, gotta get to bed!
