I know...I know...I'm a blog slacker!

Dear Blog Diary,

It has been 17 days since my last blog entry...please forgive me.

Update Part 1:
Okay now that I have that taken care of! I actually have signed on a few time to post and haven't felt like it for a few reasons. I have been keeping very busy, going out almost every day. I guess I am inside today since it is raining. That's fine, possibly there is a nap in my future. (I have been really tired this week for no apparent reason) Also I got rid of my old computer chair and temporarily just using my extra dining room chair and it is pretty uncomfortable, so I haven't been spending much time on the computer. But this cute little face keeps me smiling. He's such a "class clown" putting his cereal bowl on his head.

I had a FAB! time on my getaway scrapbooking weekend (Sept 22 - 24). It was awesome to be away with my best friend Karen and to scrapbook and stay in a hotel. I got a lot of layouts done, did some shopping and it was nice to spend all my time with adults and chit chatting! It was great to sleep uninterrupted, shower for as long as I want, do my hair and makeup, eat uninterrupted. It was so great to have a break. Mommies really do need that sometimes to recharge the old batteries. Big David did great with lil D and they had a fun weekend too. Here are my layouts:

When I arrived home I had a birthday surprise waiting for me but before that we went Apple Picking & pumkin picking. I have lots of picture to post so I am going to go make a big pot of coffee and hopefully sign on later today to post some great autum pictures!

20 Months Old Today

20 Months has gone by so fast. In the past two months, Davids developmental milestones have been amazing. He continues to amaze us each day. From his love of coloring and painting to helping us around the house. Brushing his own teeth, washing his hands, picking up his toys, recognizing his body parts, pointing to pictures in books, numbers and letters. He tells us when he wants to eat and what he wants to eat. And then proceeds to throw away his trash when done. He recognizes people in pictures and recognizes our home when we pull into the driveway. He points out all the planes in the sky we see, cars on the street, boats and big trucks. The list goes on and one. I could brag about him all day!

Lil D has moved onto many new words each day and trying to mimic bigger words like blueberry, strawberry and aligator. He has added 2 and 3 word phrases. The first one last month was "more water dada". Then followed "mama dada babyd" "its me" "that's a belly" "see ya" "hi kids" "more please" "more cheese".

Life with a toddler in the house is so much fun. Yeah we have our moments but the joys outweigh the tantrums. We are so proud of our little boy. We are so blessed.

A SuperBoy and his Superdog

I couldn't resist. When we put the Superboy PJ's on Lil D I had to pull out Chloe's Superdog costume. Kinda Funny that I have that on hand. But in this house, It is just the norm!!!

"SuperChloe...We Must go Save the Universe from all the bad people that steal dog bones and toys!"

"We must fly up in the air"

"We are on a mission Super Chloe!"
"And off we go, Up Up in the Air"

Crayons, Paints, Scrapbooking OH MY!

We are all about arts n crafts in this house - all the time. You can always find a crayon or a scrapbooking supply in each room - How Fun! I love drawing and crafting and it brings me joy that Lil David loves that too.

Sunday Lil D carried around his notebook and new crayons all day long. (Check out his cute AB/CD shirt! What a hoot!) And those are his new 7 1/2 WW sneakers!

Here is my latest scrapbooking of my little pirate boy when he was 3 months old. I absolutely love this outfit. Big D picked it out a Gymboree - All Pirate Theme! So sweet. I took a lot of time doing this layout because I couldn't get it just right, but in the end I am satisfied with the results. The beautiful hand stamped pirate boat embellishements are from a recent swap I participated in.

And last but not least, Watercolors. I was going thru one of my many craft boxes and I found these waterpaints. I let Lil D go to town painting. Not only did he paint his paper but his hands, shirt and high chair. Mama doesn't care though - everything is washable! It was so much fun watching him. In the photos below he is working on his 2nd piece of artwork, we will simply call this one "Red" The first one was more colorful with yellows, greens and blues!

Berry Berry Berry Muffins...Homemade

I decided to bake this morning. An event that has not happened in a while in my house. Actually DH is a better baker than I am. I am inpatient and tend to burn things.

This morning I made Muffins with a blueberry, blackberry & strawberry mix of fruit. They smell awesome baking. They are made from scratch. I got out the ole Betty Crocker cookbook and even made the Streussel topping it called for.

They are cooling now...I can't wait to taste them! Yum

It's September!!!

I can't believe today is September 1st! Labor Day Weekend. Wow, the summer went by fast. I absolutely love September and October. I love the weather and the cool nights and the colorful leaves on the trees. I hope to bring lil D apple picking this year, I think it would be a lot of fun!

This picture is from Livingston Park Playground from a couple of weeks ago. As you can see, he was having a great time!
