Funny Pics

I just wanted to post some of these funny pictures I took this afternoon. This first one, lil D went into the kitchen where we keep our everyday shoes. He pulled out my shoes (two black ones and a brown one) He proceeded to show them to me and then put them on the floor and try and walk in them. It was so cute. I quickly got the camera and snapped this picture. He has been getting my shoes for me alot this week. Maybe he has associated shoes with going out.

This next picture (so glad I had the camera on hand). Big D went into the frig to get a drink. Lil D followed. Usually he sneaks out the mustard or jelly and then tries to run away with it... it is a game. I think in this picture he looks so funny! He looks like a burgular sneaking and tiptoeing.

This next one he is just being silly, putting the bucket on his head - what a goofball!

Here is my little climber - trying to climb up on the dog kennel

And the last picture is one I snapped of the two us us playing on the floor. We had a fun playful afternoon!

Holy Words Batman!

Children are so Amazing!

Everyday David understands more and more. At lunch today he said "cheese" and "cookie" (we've been practing those for a while now).

It was really nice out this afternoon so we went out for a bit. When we were getting in the van, D heard the birds tweeting outside and he was trying to say "birdy" and he points up to the trees.

While driving, we were at a traffic light. David spotted a dog in someone's yard. He starts saying "doggy" "doggy". It is so funny that he calls our little doggies at home "kitties" but someone else's dog is a "doggy". We took a little drive over to Building 19 to just poke around. There was tons of dog and cat nicknacks and D had a great time pointing at them and saying "doggy" or "kitty".

We visited GG's this afternoon after Building 19, and it was fun as usual. He loves going there and runs right to his toys when we go inside. Then he goes for her phone that she unplugs and lets him play with. GG was asking David where his nose was and he pointed to it, then his mouth and then his ears. It was so cute seeing him listening and responding.

D also did great today listening to "NO". (as in no, don't touch that or don't climb on that or don't scribble/color on that). I am sure in no time he will be telling me "NO".

He is such a cutie and I enjoy our time together so much! I am a VHSAHM - Very Happy Stay at Home Mom!

Gonna Be a Bear

In this life I'm a woman.

In my next life, I'd like to come back as a bear.

When you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that, too.

When you're a girl bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you're sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute, cuddly cubs. I could definitely deal with that.

If you're mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them, too. I could deal with that.

If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs and excess body fat.

Yup, gonna be a bear!

Breakfast Was Served at 6:20 This Morning...

Sorry if you missed it.

15 months old and he knows what he wants. Lil D started this week with the following schedule:

Wake up between 5:30 - 6:00

Wide Awake & Babbling

Go downstairs with mommy

Stand at the frig until "Juicy" is served (Oh and now he is letting mama know what type of sippy cup or straw sippy he wants it in)

After Juicy is served, stand at the Cheerio Cabinet and whine. Dry cheerios are not longer a choice, they MUST have milk in them now. I don't like the whining so this morning I was trying to "sign" to him the word eat.

This morning we did have oatmeal. (I think if I gave him Cheerios with milk at every meal, he would love it.)

Okay, well it now time for the morning nap... did I mention it is not even 8:00 am yet????

The Easter Bunny Was Here....

Easter was so much fun this year, busy, but fun. We visited with Family on both Saturday and Sunday. David loved coloring easter eggs and opening is Easter Basket. He wasn't sure about the Easter Basket at first, but once I showed him all the goodies inside were for him, he got the hang of it quickly! I Can't remember the last time I colored Easter Eggs. It is so much fun. Lil D loved dunking the egg in the dye and mixing it all up. And just in case you are wondering, blue dye does come off easily from children, floors, table clothes and high chairs and not easily off dogs.

Friday the 13th!!!! NOT

So what does it mean when you wake up and think that it is friday the 13th? I don't know why I thought that. But it is Friday the 14th so as of 10:30 this morning, when I realized it, everything is back to normal in my crazy head. Urghhhhhh!

David turned 15 months old this week. I can't believe it. How F-U-N! And yesterday, we were getting ready to go out and I asked him if he wanted "juicey" and he said in the sweetest, clearest voice, "JUICEY!". It was so cute! I tried all night to get him to say it again, but he didn't.

We had a nice day yesterday, the weather was so nice too. We took GG to the doctors. (which for both GG & Lil D is a social event!) I didn't use the umbrella stroller and I let D walk. He does so good. After the doctors we went for a nice lunch at the Puritan Backroom. Then we visited at grams house until after 6:00pm. I have been working on a scrapbook with pictures of my grandmother from when she was a child until the present. So I showed her the book and she loves it! She cried... I cried. I love my grandmother so much, she is such an important part of my life. I treasure each day and memory we have with her. I love seeing Lil D and her (GG & DD) play together. We went thru each page in the scrapbook and she told me who everyone was and where all the pictures were taken. I made notes on the back of each page.
To me, this is what Scrapbooking is all about. Memories on captured on paper.

Here is a little poem I found that I wanted to post for Lil D

To You, Our Sweet Child, We Give...
Our TIME when you need someone to listen or stand with you.Our HEART when you need someone to care.
Our SUPPORT when you need to know what a great little person you are becoming.
Our FAITH in you in your goals and dreams, and your ability to achieve them.
Our HAND to hold securely for when the path you walk seems all uphill and you need to rest.
Our UNDERSTANDING when you make a mistake and need to know that you don't have to be perfect.
MOST OF ALL, We GIVE YOU Our LOVE - always and forever, for the bond between us is unconditional and everlasting!

Take Me Out To the Ball Game

Today was opening day at Fenway for the Red Sox. I love this time of year. How F-U-N! I have never been to a Red Sox Game but we always watch the games at home. Oh they won by the way!!!!

In the Baseball spirit, I dressed lil D in his new Baseball shirt (of course from the "Target") and I wore Big D's Red Sox shirt. And of course, I had to have a photoshoot! I got this cute picture of him and then with the magical use of MS Paint, I cut and pasted and used a background. I think it came out pretty cute.

We spent The afternoon outdoors today. I think it was about 65 degrees out. So we had a picnic lunch on the soccer field at Livingston Park.

Then we went to the playground. David was a wildman! Lil D has so Much Energy! He was all over the place, yelling, chasing the older kids and of course wanting to climb all over the jungle gym. He is still to little to be up there but physically he can climb everywhere. He loves going down the slide and on the horsey that rocks back and forth. Needless to say, he was sound asleep before we even drove out of the park.

Once we were home, I took advantage of the quiet time to work on my Tag Swap for the Cabana Croppers Club. I am trying to scraplift an idea I saw from a Doodlebug Designs tag but I think it is too many small pieces. I have to make 18 of them. I am going to have to work on this further and decide maybe on a simplier design. I should do that tonight. It is tuesday and there isn't really anything we watch on TV other than the Real World. Crazy but we are hooked!

I Won! I Won!

Mondays...

I usually don't like going out on Monday. I like to stay home and clean up the house after our busy weekends. I like to let lil D get back to his "normal" nap schedule. I was really nice out today and I wanted to get out but never made it out. (Maybe I never made it out because I was too busy being mommy photographer! Lil D moves so quickly now, it is difficult to get pictures of him!) Here are a few pics from the after bathtime photo shoot.

So anyway, I opened all the windows and there was a nice breeze and it was so nice to hear the birds sing. It was a pretty relaxing day. Did a little bit of tidying, some laundry, all the fun stuff! But I put off going grocery shopping all day. We usually do it on the weekends, but somehow it got skipped.

Finally at 9:30 pm, I went out. I was dragging and really tired but I knew I had to go. So of course I made a pit stop at Dunkins for a iced carmel latte (no calories in that right?) and then off to Hannaford. I stuck to my list and got everything I needed and checked out. I even remembered to use a few coupons. I was surprised how fast it got done.

For the past few months Dave & I have made a detour to the vending machine that sells scratch tickets. We have won anywhere from $2 - $5, but nothing more than $5, but it is still fun to get the tickets.

D & I are creatures of habit. I get home with the groceries, he stands on the deck waiting for me once I call him from the grocery store parking lot. We unload into the house. He puts away the dry goods, I put away the refrig stuff. Then we pick two quarters from our jar and we sit at the table and scratch our tickets. I guess it is a ritual!

Scratch Scratch Scratch....Low and behold - I won $50.00 tonight on one ticket!!!!! I am so excited. Of course, I would have liked to have one $50,000.00 but $50.00 is $50.00 more than I had before. See so going groceries at 9:30 on a monday night wasn't so bad after all!

Bedhead

I usually base how well I slept by looking in the mirror. If my hair is super messy and resembles a mohawk or a spikey doo, it means I sleep pretty well. If my hair is not messed up at all that means I probably sleep or tried to sleep in one spot staring at the clock all night. Or that I never got in a deep enough sleep.

Let's just say this morning, I could go out and not even comb my hair. Not one piece out of place, no cowlicks (sp?) . I was up around 5:00 am...and had gone to bed at 11:30.

At about 4:00 am I heard Ms. Ashleigh (Wire Fox Terrier) scratching. Well then about 5:00 I heard a weird noise. Come to find our Ms. A. Houdini, got out of her kennel and was roaming around the house. Let's just say I had a few "Doggy Messes" to clean and she needed a bath. Evidently she had a accident in her little house and escaped since she didn't want to be in there...I don't blame her.

In the meantime, lil D was up at 5:30. YaHoooo the day has started and the sun isn't even out.

Well by 7:00 am, I had cleaned up the dog situation, gave the dog a bath, cleaned the kitchen, did dishes, had breakfast, got our some scrapbooking stuff. Luckily Papa Bear & Baby Bear decided they wanted snuggle time and they went back to bed.

Then I decided to start laundry and get out the easter decorations. I think, weather permitting, I am going to try to take Lil D to the park today for an easter photo shoot... We'll see.

I love easter & springtime. The colors are wonderful! My house is like an easter eagg hunt everyday. Lil D loves playing with the plastic eggs. It is F-U-N!

You Are My Sunshine....

You Are My Sunshine

My only sunshine.

You make me happy

When skies are grey.

Today is rainy, but I guess we need it.
The weather last week was so refreshing, just a bit of spring. We were able to play outside and went to the park. It was a lot of fun. I had my windows open too, which I love seeing the curtians blow in the breeze. I hope that weather comes back soon!!!
Here are some recent pictures of my little sunshine
