What Day is It?

I like holiday weekends but I am always so confused for the whole week what day it is. I keep forgetting today is Monday.

We had a fun but very busy weekend. Our household chores indoor are out and keeping us on our toes. It is pretty difficult to get stuff done with a toddler running around, so we try to do as much as we can during naptime or luckily our parents have helped us out babysitting. Lil D got to spend time with all his grandparents this weekend!

Here are some cute pictures of Lil D eating an Ice Cream at GG's house last thursday.

Gimme some!
Eating Ice Cream is a serious job!

Yummy!

I don't know how I got so messy! Oh maybe there is a reason why mommy said I shouldn't bite off the bottom of the cone.

This is so fun and tasty! All done! Time for a cleanup!

Thanks for looking and I promise this week I won't be a "BS" - Blog Slacker!

Sunday Afternoon Concert

Hello Just sharing a cute picture of Lil D playing his xylophone and piano. Hopefully today is the calm after the storm of yesterday. Just too much going on this weekend. The great part of this weekend is my friend Jenn and her baby Emily came to visit from South Carolina. Lil D didn't know what to think about the baby but he was pretty interested. He wanted to touch her of course but when she cried he covered his ears, that was pretty funny!

It was so fun to visit with Jenn and her friend Lori too. I wish Jenn would move back home, I miss her!

And just another picture I wanted to share of Mr. Helpful! Lil D is so helpful around the house. He is learning to use the Shark Electric Broom on the kitchen floor, he thinks it is so much fun! What a cutie pie!

Whooooaaaa! What a Week!

Well it is Thursday. The basement is dry for the most part. Thanks to the Fire & Rescue Department coming back on Monday Evening to pump us out. By that time, the water was up pretty high and the two pumps just couldn't handle it. It was discouraging to see 24 hours go by and the water just getting higher and higher. Lil D thought the fire truck was pretty cool and Mama really liked seeing the firemen!

We were left with no hot water since the water heater was drenched and no washer & dryer. So we got to visit GG's house alot this week. I love going there and she cooked for us and took care of us! It is a home away from home there.

David had a great time visiting and eating a treat chocolate pudding. It was so funny and we just let him dig right in!

So the dumpster was delivered today (it is huge!) The demolition of the basement starts tomorrow morning. Let the throwing away begin! We are in for a busy busy weekend!

Almost Monday AM... It's Bad

Well the water is still coming in... because it is still raining out and there is no where left for it to go. I know others have it much worse but we need to be extra cautious because of electricity and mold. The concern now is the water is up to the water heater, the furnace, it is over the heat vents and close to electrical outlets. So if it gets any higher by morning, we will have to shut the electric off to the house from the outside. Right now we don't have any hot water since our furnace needs to be off.
It is bad (almost 1 foot of water) so we called 911 - talked to the Manchester Fire Department. They came for a visit (they are always so good looking) anyway, they checked it out. The que for them to pump out is very full, all of their pumps are being used and next available time is about 6:00AM. We called our neighbor Wayne, he helped setup another drain out of the house.
It is going to be a long week. But as I told Hubby, it is all material things and as much as the problems with this house really ticks me off, I have him and my wonderful baby boy and my two dogs and that is what matters the most to me.

Here is 4 Inches of Water

Water Water Everywhere...

Too much rain to continue the Red Sox Game that Hubby was at last night...

Too much rain to go out today with Baby Bear...

Too much rain forming puddles on my newly planted lawn....

Too much rain creates very stinky wet dogs...

Too much rain means a trip to Home Depot at 8:30 on a Saturday night for an additional water pump.

Oh and does anyone want to go swimming in my basement? There is plenty of water there!
