I got this from Ginger Rohlf's blog who got it from Deb Perry's blog . It seemed kinda fun. And I added a few of my own on too.

I AM: a 30 something mom and wife, a libra, a scrapbooker, a creative thinker, my own person with plenty of ideas how things should be

I WANT: a clean organized house all the time (that doesn't mean it is). And also more children. I don't think a clean house and lots of children really go together though.

I HAVE: more in life than I ever expected

I WISH: upon stars still

I DREAM: in color and every night. Crazy reallike dreams

I LOVE: my family and friends ofcourse. I also love the ocean with a warm crisp breeze. I love taking pictures and I love a good sale.

I LIKE: listening to music and I like jingles/songs on TV commercials.

I HATE: mornings and being uncomfortable (hungry, too hot, too cold etc)

I MISS: Karen. (PS: had a great visit Karen and I do wish I could have stayed longer and I am so glad you are feeling better)

I STILL: like fairies, leopard print, pink sparkley things and to wear barrettes in my hair.

I HEAR: noises at night all the time when the house is quiet. I don't like quiet (day or night).

I WONDER: where some of my old friends and co-workers are and what they are doing.

I REGRET: nothing. I don't believe in regret because there is nothing you can do about it. My friend Karen says you can't regret anything or wish to change the past because the past has gotten where you are today. And I wouldn't change that.

I AM NOT: an ontime kinda girl. always late.

I DON'T: read directions thoroughly, if at all.

I DANCE: probably everyday. Lil D loves to dance too. Dancing is fun.

I SING: alone in my car or with lil D. I usually don't sing infront of too many people.

I CRY: too much. A lot can trigger it. And it can be anytime of day.

I AM NOT ALWAYS: pleasant. I can be cranky and moody on any given day. (usually relates to how much sleep I had)

I MAKE WITH MY HANDS: paper crafts and I love it.

I WRITE: out the bills. It is my job and I don't think I am that great at it, but I try my best.

I THINK: too much. I read into things way too much.

I CONFUSE: myself with verbal instructions. I need to see and read.

I SPEND: alot of time on the computer. Being a SAHM, it is my outlet to the world.

I NEED: coffee. And also to feel appreicated. That is not asking much, is it?

I SHOULD: be on a diet and lose weight but it is so hard.

I START: everyday with stretching before I get up. I have a hard time just popping up right out of bed.

I FINISH: all the food on my plate usually (refer back to "I should") LOL

I ADMIRE: moms who have lots of children and make it look easy.

Back from Vacation...

and the house is already messy. It was pretty much all in order when we left, but not even an hour after we were home, it is back to its usual look of chaos. Back to reality; vacation is over.

So we had a good time. We took a little road trip up through New Hampshire, into Vermont and over to Lake George in New York. We saw alot of nature and trees and mountains and it was peaceful and for the most part relaxing. Lake George is very nice and there is a lot to do. It is a great family spot and I think we would go back in the future. I actually packed a small bag of scrapbooking supplies and accomplished 4 layouts.

But...okay, there has to be a BUT.

the HOTEL. Nowadays you look at websites, see what looks good and book it. Our place a "resort" they called it, looks great in pictures and from the outside in person. Once inside it looked great too, but the couch and chair must have been sat on by 1000s of people and was extremely uncomfortable. Same with the beds that looked all nice made up, but once you layed down, you had a feeling like you just layed down in a big bowl of fluff with an added spring poking in the back. Oh and check out the air conditioning - only in 1 room. So the bedroom was cold and the living room was quite toasty. And even though I think there was only 3 other guests in the "resort" there was an issue with the hot/cold water.

the SEASON. In season/out of season. What does this all mean. Okay Lake George's in season is after June 23rd (which we figured out after we arrived) From May until June 23rd is "out of season" which basically means, we are open but we close very early and the locals are all in bed at 9:00 pm. Not sure what happens between October and May, but I am thinking everything is shut down. How out of season effected us: the playground can't be used today because it was just painted, the pool is going to close at 7:30 because we feel like it, we checked in at 5:55pm and you would have thought it was 1:00am, no one was available at the front desk at 10:00pm, later found out the front desk closes at 9:00 and there is no one available until the next morning. Also we found out "family owned and operated resort" mean we make up the rules as we please and they are kinda crazy.

the BEDS: I have come to the conclusion they do not have king size beds in Lake George. They also call double beds Queen. I know a queen size bed when I see one and the two beds in our suite were not queen. Last time I recalled, my feet did not hang off the end of a queen size bed. And last time I checked, I am still only 5'2". Dh and I each had our down double/queen whatever you would like to call it bed. Both of them were so old it was crazy. Time for the "Resort" to use a little of their money and replace the beds. Two of the night I didn't sleep until after 6:30 am.

Here is the next chapter... Everything I learned while going away with a toddler:

This was a new experience for us both. Last time we travelled with lil D was down to Rhode Island a year ago when he was just a baby in a carrier. So much has changed since then.

I booked a Suite (living room, kitchenette with microwave, sink & frig plus a bedroom). This is a must when you have a toddler. A seperate room to put lil D to bed was great, having a frig for applejuice, yogurt and milk great, having a microwave to heat up food was great too.

Overpacking baby clothes is a great mistake. Lots of spills, leaks etc. For once, I was glad I overpacked.

Overnight diapers not just for overnight. Great for car rides too.

Umbrella Stroller. This was the first time I only brought the umbrella stroller and left the Travel System big carriage behind. Life is a lot easier with the umbrella.

Backpack diaper bag. Hands free for pushing the umbrella stroller.

Snacks Snacks and lots of snacks and juice.

Sunscreen and sunhat. I know it sounds like I should know this one, but with this crazy weather who knows. But I am glad I had them on hand.

Walmart and the Dollar Tree. On vacation You say? I can't stay away. I am a Walmart junkie. It is good to know it is close by incase there is something you need. We went twice just for good measure.

I look forward to going away somewhere again soon this summer. I think each time getting away will be easier. Lil D had a great time. He went on his first boat ride, to his first amusement park and water slide park. He is so much fun and did a super job riding in the car. It was really nice taking a Family Vacation.

PS: I have pictures to post but for some reason Blogger isn't working right. I will try again this weekend.

Happy Birthday...To You!

June is a month full of birthdays! Karen, Stacy, James, Doug, and Dave (aka Papa Bear) all celebrate birthdays this month. Lil D, who has a birthday every month, is 17 months old today! I can't believe what a big boy he is! So very busy every second! He loves his Easel/Desk with matching chair. He is so into coloring and writing. He was using his desk to eat his Cheese. What a sweetie! Posted by Picasa

Craft Therapy

I went to ACMoore today and bought some beads. I decided to make a butterfly bracelet for myself and here is the reason why.

October 19th 2005 I had a positive pregnancy test, but sadly November 7th I found out my pregnancy was ectopic. November 20th I had emergency surgery after two rounds of methotrexate failed. It was a very heartbreaking experience both physically and emotionally. It has taken many months of healing to overcome what has happened to me. Joyfully I found out in April that we have the okay to try again for another child.

Since November, I have been trying to deal with the miscarriage loss, physical loss of my tube, pregnancy symtoms that continued for several weeks while the hormones take time to readjust, physical exhaustion from the blood loss after surgery, uncertianty of our future fertility, and gaining the courage to try to conceive again. The last week in June (this month)would have been our due date if the pregnancy had been a healthy one.

Time is the best way to cope. But Also I deciced that I would like to make myself a this bracelet to symbolize our journey thru this ordeal.

I was given a handmade bracelet when David was born with our birthstones (Big David and myself) and Lil D's. I wear it almost every day. I absolutely love this bracelet.

I decided to copy the idea and make a bracelet symbolizing the life that we lost.

The butterfly is a symbol of the onset of a period of transformation. It can also be symbolic of a life cycle or learning to release the past and embrace the new. It can also symbolize the soul.

The green bead tourmaline is an October birthstone, symbolizing the month we conceived. The gold tone bead Topaz is November birthstone, symbolizing the month of the loss. The two daisies represent innocence of the soul.

I am really glad that I took the time to make this bracelet. It is something very personal and somthing that I really wanted to do and I really felt like I was ready now. I have taken the time to grieve and I am ready now to move on in our Trying to Conceive Journey.

One of the challenges last month for the Personal Scrapper online crop was to create a layout using Acronyms for the word MOM (in honor of Mothers Day). I didn't have time that weekend to scrapbook, but while sorting out lil D's books, I came across a cute little book I got at my Baby Shower called One of a Kind M-O-M. I just wanted to share some of the acronyms in the book.

Maker Of Memories

Manufacturer Of Miracles

Mistress Of the Manor

Minder Of Manners

Molder Of Minds

Meter Of the Money

Model Of Maturity

Megaphone Over Mayhem

Mouthpiece Of the Mute (A mother understand what a child does not say)

Mighty Over Malady

Mender Of Malfunction

Master of Motivation

Motivator Of Morale

Mild Over Mistakes

Marker Of a Moment

Misty Over the Miniscule

Mover Of Mountains

Mediator Of the Master

Monitor Of Morals

Meekest of the Meek

Mainstay Of Many

and last it says

MOM = A load of responsibility! But So worth it!

Cleaning like it's my Job!

So I am obsessive about it this week. Cleaning and organizing. I am a busy lady on a mission. It is a virtual gold star for me for every Force Flex garbage bag that I fill up for trash or giveaway. (I love those bags by the way, almost as much as I love clorox wipes or my shark vaccuum)

I am making a list and checking it twice. Getting things done. I am exhausting myself but I know that the end result will be worth it. Thank god for coffee (lots of it) and an occassional cat nap.

Ok, off to bed (not bad it's only 1:20am) to rest up for tomorrows work. sleep well!

PS: just had to share this picture from Monday. "The Cheerio Incident" Baby Bear decided he wanted some cheerios, so he reached up on the counter and swiped the box of cereal and a bowl, the proceeded to try to pour it himself. Being the scrappy mom I am, I grabbed the camera first to snap a few pics. He is so silly! and smart! You can't keep a growing boy away from him O O ooooos!

Waz Up HomeGirlz!

So I said I wasn't going to be a BS - blog slacker, but I was this week. I stayed pretty busy all week and didn't take the time to update. sorry.

This is just a funny picture from a few weeks ago... Really I don't usually dress lil D up like this but I couldn't resist! Just wanted to share this!

Today was rainy so we didn't do much all day, but around 5:00 or so both of us, mama & baby bear got Cabin Fever! I couldn't decide if I really wanted to go out in the rain but lil D kept saying "Bye, bye, bye" and standing at the door. Then he wanted to stand outside on the deck in the rain. We have been playing outside everyday so he probably couldn't figure out why we weren't out there today.
(see figure 1 below of toddler playing on highchair...poor boy doesn't have any toys to play with)

So we got bundled up and went out. First stop of course... Dunkins. Somehow the van autodrives there! Iced latte for me and a plain bagel for him to munch on. Then off to the Dollar Store... LOVE it. Found 30 dollars worth of things to buy. Including very very cute small spools of scrappy ribbon in cool prints.

Then off to Wally World and we won't say how much I spent there, but is was under $100.00 ! Got lots of fun things there of course including more seeds to plant and bulbs.

About the seeds and bulbs and grass. We now have a bright green lawn (pictures to be posted later) and all the seeds I planted last friday and all coming up with cute little green stems and leaves. I can't wait until everything is in bloom. I am beginning to get more proud of my yard now.

Here is another picture I just wanted to share. I was playing around with the collage feature on Picasa software. Have a great weekend!
