BFF Scrapbooks Etc. Scraplift Challenge

What a title huh? I decided to try to inspire my bff Karen to scrapbook. She has been lacking scrapbooking mojo lately. So I challenged her to scraplift some pretty simple layouts from April 2007 Scrapbooks Etc. (pages: 38, 123, & 128). Hey what are friends for! Here are the pages that I made below each inspiration challenge. By the way, the issue of Scrapbooks Etc has so many great ideas.

Scrapbooking Like It's My Job...

I love this saying... "[insert name] is ______________ like it's her/his job". I used to have a coworker that used this term and it was quite funny sometimes. Anyway, I have been scrapbooking like crazy. Every free moment and taking advantage of when lil D is painting or coloring or doing puzzles at the dining room table. This coming weekend is an online crop at Personal Scrapper and hopefully I will get even more done. They always have great challenges.

I have completed 11 12x12 layouts and 4 8x8 layouts. Here they are:

Happy St. Patty's Day

I know a few days late. Hope you had a nice St. Patricks Day. We celebrated by cleaning up snow! (well hubby did most of the work, that snow was so darn heavy) I've been a lazy blogger this past week. Been busy painting, playing playdoh, scrapbooking, shopping, playing outside, celebrating my parents birthdays. I've been trying to do at least 1 scrapbooking layout a day, I hope to post them sometime this week. I can't believe last week we were outside with spring coats playing sidewalk chalk and bubbles and today it is just a snowy mess. Urghhh when will the warm weather be here for real! I'm ready!

Heart a Boom

I am still fighting this cold. I have had it since friday night I think. I feel a little better today and hope *knock on wood* that is it on it's way out of my system. I am sure I caught it from Lil D. After all, we share so much and recently he wants to kiss alot and rub noses (like eskimoses) A sure way to spread germs. Oh well. All last week, he had a high fever and then it turned into a cold. He still has a little something going on but not like last week. I hate being sick especially with a head cold. I feel like I can't think straight. I am a dazed out mommy.

Luckily, Dr. Love and Hugs (see the shirt) has been taking care of me. He is so cute. He got two doctors kits for Christmas. One is Sesame Street and the other goes with the GoDiegoGo Rescue kit. He puts the stethoscope on and then gets serious. He listens to your heart and says aboom aboom aboom. It is so funny. Even funnier is when he tries to hear the heartbeat of the chairs, the rug, his toys, the table etc. What a sweetie pie.

Snowballs, Popsicles and Water Paints

Tuesday was a beautiful sunny day. We got all bundled up and went out to play in the snow. It was very wet snow...good for snowballs. I need to get one of those scoop things that makes snowballs, that would be a lot of fun. Oh course lil D was soaked after about 1 hour and cried when it was time to come in. Hopefully this weekend, we'll be able to go out and play in the new snow from yesterday's storm.
Since Sunday, Lil D has had a fever, high at times. Motrin made him a lot more comfortable. Towards the end of the week, it lowered down to a little above normal but now he has a runny nose, sneezing and coughing. So it turned out just to be a cold. I was anxiously awaiting if he was going to get some weird rash that can usually show up after a high fever but luckily nothing. Blue popsicles seem to make him feel a whole lot better, so that's what he has been loving this week. This pictures is cute with the two "buddies". I love the look she is giving him like "aren't you going to share that with me?" I think Chloe ended up with the popsicle in the end.
And lastly, my little artist at work again. He loves the paints. Wants to paint all the time.
