Our Vacation - Day 5 - Sight Seeing

Today was the day we really got to see the ins and outs of the city. We (Dave and I) went to Philly back in 2002 but we didn't really go exploring in the city. We primarily went to the Comic Book Convention and then the second day I opted for a spa and shopping day. We really didn't venture outside of the vacinity of the hotel. This trip we really wanted to see all of the historical landmarks and sights. Here are some pictures driving on 95.
View of the shipyards

Old Naval Ships
The Football and Baseball Stadiums:

We took a Duck Boat Tour.

Quack Quack!
Betsy Ross House
Carriage Rides:
On the Delware River, the boat portion of the ride. View of Adventure Aquarium in Camden NJ
Penns Landing: Outside the Independence Visitors Center - View of Independence Hall. Oh Look, Mommy's on the $5 bill!
The Liberty Bell:

Independence Hall:

And the last part of our tour... Geno's! We drove around the South Street area for a good amount of time before we found it. Dave jumped out of the car and I circled some very narrow city blocks and then picked him up with the food in hand. YUM! Very different than the cheesesteaks we have here, but very good. We want to go back!
